Wow Randy you are so giving and it must make you feel good to see other people succeed.
I think that this would be a great thing for newbies that are in the success academy but have yet been able to get things going.

That would be cool. I am going to be checking WED to see if this would work, I just thought this would be a way to give back. Their would probably be some good letters of why they think they deserve free week end. And at the same time if this works i wanted to get the coaches involved. THEY KEEP UP WITH WHO CALLS IN AND REALLY USES THEM. Just have to wait and see how much response this thread gets.

Randy your one of the greatest to come up with an idea such as that to take the time from your busy schedule to do that to help some one else out. If it was possible money wise I would of used the academy some time ago when I first started out but back then it is not possible and now it is not possible either due to the same reason, money. I am doing all this the way a lot of people have to start out. From what time I have after working and such I spend it on real estate investing every free minute I have. Late night and early morning writing emails and looking for properties and the minute I get off work making calls on my way home from work and on my off day and a half just the same. Should some one helped me along the way sure I would do the same as well just to help out and give a hand too.

I just don't understand this.AS MANY PEOPLE THAT COMPLAIN ON HERE ABOUT THE SUCCESS ACADEMY. I would have thought their would be a lot of response. But then again I guess the success ratio is unbelievable. Which is a good thing. I always wonder what the success ratio was. I do know that the last quarter they did pay out a record number of refunds. Thinks for all you did for me.

I think that would be so helpful to a newbie in the Success Academy. I know I would give anything for some guidance. I have never been so close to throwing in the towel. I have spent a lot of money trying to get started (earnest money, attorney's fees, gas money, SFL, Edge Systems, Website fees, etc, etc....) and have so far made nothing. It gets very frustrating and am so close to quitting. I just wish I knew how successful people do it, because I have been very unsuccessful so far. And I consider myself a fairly intelligent person, but not in this realm. I definitely can't afford the Success Academy right now, but whomever gets this opportunity is very blessed!

I think that is a very kind and generous thing to do. Although I would love to have you here in the midwest, things seem to be moving, and should be completing my 5deals by December.

You are the real deal.

Thanks Randy the time was greatly spent to serve for such a great country to keep it free and there are a lot more out there doing it just for the same reason I did. Look at all those serving in Afghanistan and the like plus I work with some one that also served over there recently.

I think it's a great idea. I would have posted already but I didn't because I thought there was no way I'd be chosen. I only just started the Academy last month. And, the truth is, I tried to back out of it because I can't afford it but they wouldn't let me (the three day contract thingy). I seriously think it's slowing me down more than helping me and the only software I was sent was for handling rental properties. I don't even own a house yet! And, supposedly I'm to start assigning or bird-dogging, so what would I need that for?

Then, the classes they started me on assumed I already had a decent understanding of RE, which I had NOT. I've spoken to coaches more than once, and they all tell me the same thing: Ignore what I'm supposed to already have known and just do the assignments. So, I've been studying this site for the last two months which is the only way I learned anything thus far. I LOVE this site because it has so much information on it. Going back to my lessons, I can understand them better now, though so far they haven't taught me anything I hadn't already read on this forum.

I have been trying to keep a positive attitude and I hope I don't put anyone off by anything I said or how I said it. My glass is half full!

I just wanted to add one thing. I did all the lesson to and i am on this site daily. I did have a lot of construction background when I started. Their was things in the lesson that i knew probable as good as the person that wrote it. And this is what impressed me the most. Everything they taught was true. And you can not learn everything on here that is in the lesson. They really get deep and to the point, if you don't understand the one you are on read and read again. And if you still don;t understand read again and then take notes. the coach will go over with you on what you don't understand. Hope this helps.

I think this is a great idea. My husband Ed and I are newbies to DGF. We are working our way through the success academy (part-time) right now and very anxious to make our first deal. Our goal is to be in one of DG videos some day. We would love the opportunity to work with someone personally who has been through the program and that can teach us first hand how to complete deals. We try and get on the site as much as possible and read through everyone's comments to gain as much knowledge as possible. I am not sure where you live but we are in PA. I really appreciate all the pms. I put this post so everyone could see it. I do know how hard it is to get started. It took me 9 months for my first deal. working 70 to 80 hours a week. In the last 18 months i have done 75 deals. And when I look back my BIGGEST obstacle was FEAR. And not wanting to mess up. Believe I do know if you do what the coaches say, Do your lesson work you can succeed. If i can do it anyone can. This is the reason I put this post up. Just to see if their was enough intrest to pursue this. Just to show everyone can do it if they really want to.

People that for what ever reason is still plugging alone, But still has that POSTIVE attitude. This is what it is all about. And when you do get started and look back I bet you will say FEAR is what slowed me down. Believe Dean and his staff does give you all the tools to work with, But he just hasn't come up with the magic pill yet to get reed of FEAR>

You have spoken the truth! Whew! Fear is deadly, isn't it? But Faith is powerful. Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase. As a Success Academy student, the one thing that I can say that is so positive is the beautiful thing about learning Dean's techniques is that nobody can take it away from you. Knowledge is power!

Hi Randy,

That would be a huge help. I find that I am stuck in the need more information, but can't take that step forward to do anything with the education. I don't know if it is fear of not knowing, or that I just don't know what to do next even though I have read and listened to all the things I am supposed to do.

Sometimes we need someone to come and hold our hand and walk us through the steps in order for us to actually see that it really isn't that hard. Just like little kids who are either trying to walk for the first time or ride a bike for the first time. We hold their hand or the back of the bike and show them what to do, but they are the ones who actually take off and go, but they had us to hold them up to get started.

That would be a wonderful thing, and I would love to have that opportunity to work with someone who has been doing deals and knows the steps.
