I am very excited to be starting my journal today, 05-14-2009. It was only a few weeks ago, my wife and I got extremely motivated attending Dean's live event in Phoenix. I am still motivated beyond belief, weeks later. We have met so many wonderul investors at Dean's Live Gain the Edge Event and on the DG website. I want to thank eveyone for their positive comments and support. It doesn't matter how little or much you do, just post whatever. Did you drive a neighborhood, look at a house, follow a lead, send postcards or fliers, make phonecalls? This is all the "work" that leads up to the ultimate success, signing day. Use Anita's 3-house deal as an example. She did her homework. That certainly wasn't her first phonecall of the week!

Closing my first flip on monday, the 29th. There was a little delay when at the last minute the buyers title company wanted info on my LLC - but its all good to go. And amazingly - for those of you who read my story in other posts - this house sold in ONE week! There is another on the street 4 doors down that has been for sale for months. And now I have found a bank repo/short sale right next door to that - 3 doors down from my flip!

I know to sign my offer as name and/or assign, but what after that? How does this work..

March 26th, 2010 | posted by pdqservicesinci just enrolled this afternoon in the Success Academy. i'm very excited, yet very scared, to put it mildly. this is a big step for me. i tried it twice before with other people and was not pleased at all, but i've done more homework on the Success Academy and i like what i'm hearing and seeing. i've already worked with some really nice people and i truly believe this is the way to go for me. i am starting this journal so i can track my progress and get input from others as i move along in this journey. i posted a question on this site to see what kind of input i would get on enrolling in the Academy and that went very well. it was nice to hear from other students and know how they feel about the program.

I never saw any of Dean's infomercials, but I did see the last five minutes of The Hansen Report when he was on as a guest. So I ordered the book. I was just ready. Of course, I had been "ready" many times before. Like so many of us, I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of "Get Rich Quick" deals and none of them ever worked. I have participated in dozens of the MLM deals and (sigh) am still dead broke.

Does anyone have any information regarding starting up a corporation or LLC in order to buy real estate? I have lousy credit and I've heard you can start a corporation or LLC to establish good credit (for the corporation) and then buy real estate. Is this true? Does anyone have any input on this or can point me in the right direction of where to get more information on this subject? Thank you.

You can add to it as frequently or infrequently as you like, with as little or as much info you want to post.
By keeping a journal you will not only be able to reflect on your own progress in REI, you will be able to see things ideas or strategies that aren't panning out and should be modified, and focus on those that are.
