I have been interested in REI for a long time. I have a large family, and I am a reluctant work-o-haulic. I would love to do ( and its my goal to do) investing full time. Though as of this date I haven't completed a deal yet. When I do use REI to give myself some free time I would like to spend more time with my family, play my bass guitar, and maybe even travel. Here is to anyone reading this, to life, to Real Estate, and to freedom...good luck!
UPDATE: 10/4/2010
Today is the day I become a full time Real Estate Investor. I quit my first job (engineering). I still have my second job but I plan on leaving that too. I'm finally taking action and going for it!! I believe in Dean's books, and the advisory team is a great influence!! My wife Kerry has decided to become my investing partner and we have found that as with most everything else we are much stronger together than apart. Though she had always supported what I was trying to do she didn't have the interest in it that she does now. I am so grateful to have her support and encouragement. I really have the best of both worlds, we spend time together and make money! How great is that? So take a minute and welcome my loving wife and best friend to the DG family.
David,
The Procrastination Bandwagon - what a great title I am sure many people can relate to it.
It is so difficult to take action and then run into someone like your agent who talked you out of things.
I haven't completed any deals yet but I am working on some. I am out and about. I have talked to several people. Sent lots of emails. Looked at lots of properties. I am just really trying to get a sense of my market, prices, comparing properties. etc..
I try and do something everyday that relates to RE, just commit to keep coming back to the site if nothing else. Other people's postings are so motivational.
Watch some of the videos on Dean's Medis if you haven't watched them in a while.
Good Luck!
Angela
