OK I haven't written anything about my progress so far.
After loosing my house to a foreclosure in 2009 I rented for a while and finally decided to move to Florida closer to my family. My wife, my dog and I moved to Florida (living with my parents but not for long) and then I started to get a hold of my finances. I read a lot about fixing the credit and no two years later my credit is back to 712 (two years after foreclosure a 712 FICO WOW!!!!) still the banks wants me to wait one more year to loan me money for real estate.
Then I started reading about real estate. Bought Dean's books and last month joined the success academy.
In the last month I have learned a lot.
* I now have 10 cash buyers in my buyer's list
* I have posted bandit signs
* I just built my web site. Well I have an information systems security mayor so I only spent $12 registering the domain names, $7 for a template and $4.99 per month for hosting the website with godaddy. I still have to finish some things and fix some misspellings but here is the link
any suggestions welcome. I am learning how to create forms to gather information from clients ( I have to keep building my buyers list and sellers list)
Now I have to start dealing with properties I have set a goal to do my first deal before the end of August.
Leave me comments, suggestions, tips, advice and a lot of encouragement, I need that to overcome my fears and keep going until reach all my goals
Congrats!!!
Congrats to you!

I have to twick that on mine. with godaddy the hosting company I am using you I just need to rename the file to index.html that will make the browser show my page with out having to type the extra stuff. I just need to wait until I get home tonight to do it.
I spent $& for the template $4.99 a month for hosting and like $12 a year to register the domain name.
you also need software like dreamweaver to customize and add your logo to the template and the text (I already had the software).
Hope that helps

Juandavid,
You're heading in the right direction. Getting your credit back up is not only a plus, but a very valuable tool in this business, you definitely can utilize it to help your tennants/buyers.
A website is also a must in this age of technology. I have several. The more you have the bigger your presence is and it's a must for building your lists.
Ok, I was wondering why the site wasn't up. My suggestion is, I would drop the homepage.html and have your site directed to www.investmentscruz.com. It's easier for people to remember. I like the template, it looks good. Make sure you have a good autoresponder set up too.
VonnyV23,
Godaddy has templates you can use too, you just fill in the content. You get them AND hosting for free, the only thing is they put their ad banners at the top of the page. However, to avoid that you can buy the monthly hosting or you can create a wordpress blog. Although, you still have to pay for hosting with a wordpress blog, the difference is if you get hosting through a separate hosting company like hostgator or bluehost (for instance), it's like $19 a month, but for 'unlimited' sites. Which is good if you have multiple sites like I do. Anyway, my site is made with a godaddy template, I just added the pics and content to it.
You can see it at: www.webuyhouses24-7.com.
Hope this helps! Keep up the great progress and don't hesitate to come to your DG family for motivation and support anytime day or night!
