Miami condo sales are up 54% yoy and 59% of condo sales were for cash. Foreign investors playing a big part.
is right about foreign investors being a large part of the playing field in Miami. However, the market overall still is horrible because of their overbuilding. Numbers can play tricks so don't always buy into them. If Miami had 2 condo sales in 2010 but 4 condo sales in 2011, the sales increase would be 100%, but the the market would still stink. Things can change but Miami real estate is still an iffy proposition.

Having sold a house in Miami last Dec. after living there for over 35 years, I can tell you that Bill (above) is right on the money. Proceed with caution.
Ft Lauderdale is poised to be a better market than Miami is at the moment. Remember I said "POISED". It's not "There" yet. If you want the name of a good agent down there, let me know.
