Well I've been out of the REI scene since 12/23/09, due to a partnership gone south. Got tired of all the b.s. that came along with partnering up with a coattail rider(too stressful). Now, I'm in debt up to my eyeballs, lost my nissan altima about 2 months ago and to top it all off, my unemployment benefits have also ran out. Now more than ever I need to make something happen, or else, so I've decided to get back into investing and this time I intend to make it happen....ALONE! Just like I first started out in the beginning. So with that being said, I've got my old cash buyer contacts to call up come monday morning to start the ball rolling once again.

Congratulations! You are back but not alone you have us all the DG family as support. I am trying again for the 3rd time as i too lost it all. Best of luck and success this time around.
Hey, remember, I lost quite a bit also, "that is no reason to roll over and play dead." I use the DG site to perk me up especially when I am down. Believe me I have been down on many occasions. Every time you stay away and come back it becomes more difficult, because you have to keep up with the readings for additional information, comments, suggestions and encouragement. The Bible is my stress reliever first and the DG family inspiration, second. I have come a long way and as Anita would say "Failure Is Not An Option." This is Tough Love Here. All the best and God Bless.

I definitely know the feeling. Never let the "facts" speak louder than the truth. I too made a commitment to get my Buyer's list and get back into the game. Keep moving forward. The power is within you.
Welcome back, stay focused and make that money. Don't let the money make you
I too have hit a point where I wasn't doing or reading Dean's books everyday like when I first started in 12/1/09. Being layed off from my job has taken its toll on my spirit. I'm usually the most positive guy. With some money I've earned while doing some side work, I'm thinking of starting my LLC and starting my 1-800# to build a buyer's list. I'm hoping it gets me motivated to keep the ball rolling. I've looked at a couple of houses and have made a few good realtor connections, but haven't made any offers yet.
To all for your words of encouragement and support. It's very much needed and appreciated. I've been pumping myself to get that excitement back that I once had when I started off doing REI. I know that it will come back once I've made more progress in my investing field. Don't worry jcotrona, you'll get back in the swing of things in time. There are lows and highs to this business and I'm sure quite a few of us have hit their lowest of lows right now, but like the saying goes, "Once you've hit rock bottom, there's only one other way left to go. Up! We'll I don't know if it actually goes like that, but I'm sure you get the meaning(lol). Happy trails all!
