OfflineHi DG family I've been reading your enties for a week and thought it about time to join in. I'm new,excited,scared, and ready. I've been working on so much but so far it's all been at the computer and phone. I've been networking like cazy. I joined two investing clubs, checking out all these sites with so much information, researching real estate agents, found a broker I think I can work with,and right now my head is swimming with all the new info I poured into it. I have so enjoyed reading all the support and wisdom shared on this site. Thank-you and I look forward to much more sharing

Today I worked on How to pick properties "What to Look for" How to calculate "What's it Worth" And how to find buyers both retail and wholesale using resources networking and referrals, how to get their property criteria, and how to qualify them. Today I've moving slow. I think the last 4 days has worn me out alittle. I've joined three local groups. One is the Eugene Real Eatate Sustainable Investing Group and our first meeting is July 1st. I've also joined NWREIA and OREIG both Real Estate investing Ass.with meetings in Portland about 1 1/2
hours from me and the other is local. I'm excited to meet other investors doing what we're doin. Maybe I can meet someone who would like to be part of the DG family. I'm eating chocolate ice cream with raspberries from our garden, wish I could share with you all. As soon as I figure it out I'll get a picture of myself on my site. To your dreams Kay

Went to one of the groups I joined today. Willamette Valley Entrepreneurs.It was good meet one realator and one person who wants to invest. I'm taking a few days off, I've been going non-stop for 2 weeks now and I need a break.
Monday I'm going to spend most of my work day in the field enough studying. It's time to get my feet wet. I'll let you know how it goes, I'm not even sure anyone reads these but I'll just keep the faith and dream alive and hope I'll have the support when I need it.

That sounds great!!! I am still a bit apprehensive about getting out there and doing this myself but as they say, get one under your belt and you will never be the same.
I am from Salem just North of you. No REI Clubs here that I know of. I heard about the one in Portland and am thinking of contacting them once I am back out of the hospital and recoved from surgery. I still need to get my team built. So many things to do yet.

If you want to get your feet wet, call anyone selling there house and ask them the qualifying questions just to get a feel on how your conversations go... You really don't even have to be interested in the property, just to get comfortable with it.... just a thought.
