Offlinei needed another line but didnt have money for another phone or phone line... i also needed to get all my business calls to just one phone, instead of some people call the house phone when im not home or some people calling my cell phone when its dead..
so here what i did i went to www.google.com/voice
this gave me a free number with my city area code.
a free vioce mail.
free email for my voice mail, YES free emali for my voice mail..
it can also be sent to what every voice mail that you like ..
also you can add up too i think its 3 line to this one phone number that it will give you when you sign up.
so when a person calls that number that was givin all the number that you added to one line will ring, cell phone , house phone, et. but thats not the best part... !
if you dont get to the call, and a preson leaves a voice message . every thing that they said in the vm will show up in text form..

On your business line. Do you still use your home phone number, or a different phone number that comes to your home phone, and if you want a personal message and a business message, how that does it work.
I have an 888# for my business. $20 per month gives me 500 minutes. But it also gives me my business greeting with several prompts to listen for buyers and sellers, and takes a message. This to can be transferred anytime I want to my home number, cell phone, or my inbox where I can listen to the voice message or get it texted to my cell or inbox. I go on line and put in the days and times I want the calls transferred or to go to the business messages.
No contracts and the first month is free to try it out.
So is googlevoice.com a better switch, I love me voice greetings and the prompts on mine. And I also didn't need any extra phone line. And can follow me anywhere I move. I retrieve all my messages on line, than I have a record of who called and the times and how many minutes were used. And it only takes the minutes when they leave a message.

my home phone number and cell phone number stays the same, when the call comes in it comes in like any other call but kinda like a screen , it also remember who calls ur phone then again there is nothing like free.
