I have recently lost my mother on June 20th from a long battle with Cancer. I brought her home with me on hospice care. She was with me for 2 days and then went home to be with the Lord. I am just thankful to have had those 2 days to be with her. I have no regrets and I am over joyed that I got to walk her home.

Jeremy my prayers are with you. It is not easy to see your mother ill and the burdens can be overwhelming. Just know that God is greater than your circumstances and if given the chance He will carry you and your family through.

Jeremy I am so sorry to hear your mother isn't doing well. I will keep you and your mother in my thoughts.

My mother passed away about 2 years ago when she was only 68. She was very ill for several months and I remember how difficult it was for my family and I to see her in the condition she was in. It helped us to focus on looking back to all the wonderful memories we had with her. We included her in our "trips down memory lane" with photo albums and videos and it made us all laugh and smile to reflect on times we hadn't paused to think about in years.

Jeremy I have to say I don't know the whole story with your mom only that she is ill. I would like to offer up some prayers for her in hopes that God will intervene not only for her but for you. God bless your mom and you with strength and the willingness to cope.

Please take care of yourself too right now (get enough rest & don't skip meals.) I know that when we are taking care of someone we love we tend to neglect ourselves for obvious reasons.

Our prayers for your mom. From my family to yours.

I lost my father 4 years ago in the Philippines and because of some financial reason, I was'nt able to go home to my country and see him depart. He stayed in ICU for like 6 months without any Health Insurance. It's not in the Philippine Law that equal medical treatment should be practiced to anybody whos sick without any Health Insurance or Medicare. It should be your own personnal expences. My father doe'snt have any of this. All he got is the Social Security benefit for senior citizen. Me my brother and sister together with our mother just remained to be strong. I was Jobless then here in Baltimore and I need to ask some money from my wife who's the one with a job, to be sent home for my father's hospital bills and everything.

I'm new to this site and don't know many of you but I still want to let you know My wife and I will keep you and your Mom in our prayers. I know that there really isn't anything that can be said to easy your pain except somethings in life suck. Just know that from all the posts you are loved and cared about.

To my DG family, not only are we faced with the challenges of losing jobs, facing foreclosure, escalating bills and rent, increase in foodstuff, homelessness, hopelessness leading to suicide, and crimes, but many are also plagued by sickness and diseases. Sometimes we wonder why things happen, but God knows best. When you have survived illnesses, you know who is in control, and believe me I could attest to that. We have to put our trust in God that things will get better. This is no longer an earthly battle. Jeremy and Marc, God will see you all through this difficult time in your lives. As always, you all have my number and feel free to call me anytime, I will be there for you both. I will continue to prayer for your moms and the families, for the strength to carry on.
