"I'm So Broke"

"I'm So Broke"

Laughing, I screamed “Man, Oh Snap!" As I braced myself Ernie shifted gears from the steering column. That’s when I heard the rumble under the hood and blower whine on the V8 ZR1 engine really open up. Then once again switching gears from the steering column came 3rd gear.

I swear before man and God I felt like a Nasa Astronaut as my body was losing the fight with inertia falling back into the seat. Anticipating 4th gear and laughing louder I glanced at the white dotted lines on the pavement, were they actually starting to become connected?

0-60 mph in 4 seconds all courtesy from the compliments of Ernie and his new $53,000 CTS-V 2012 Cadillac, powered by a 558 horse power Corvette engine. “Look man, I’ll call you tomorrow I have to be at the slave camp in a hour, mandatory overtime again.” I replied “I understand”.

Ernie has been trying to do a real estate deal for years now. However, he cannot afford bandit signs, or any marketing materials right now. Direct mail is so expensive, you can spend $700 EASY on a 1,000 piece mailing! A roll of 100 stamps at Office Max is $50! A box of 12 x 24 bandit signs can cost $100. Who has that type of money nowadays?

At any rate I have not heard from CeCe. She usually calls me after the Tax Refund check is spent and she has a new Prada Purse for $1,000. “ Bennie can you please help me get started?” She has no money for a credit program to repair her credit or money to get her car lettered “ We Buy Houses.”

Besides, how can a measly $3,000 Tax Refund Check help start your business, cant do much with a $3,000 Refund check. I expect a call from her in March when she calls and cries “ Im So Broke”

However, I am not without compassion. This is the biggest recession since The Great Depression, right?

Hahahahaha! Bennie, you

Hahahahaha! Bennie, you write really well and it's very enjoyable reading your stories! You hit the nail on the head describing a big chunk of our population right now. This chunk is unhappy with where they are at in life, but act like they are being held hostage, against their will, by a myriad of weak excuses. I say they are weak excuses because the only "weight" to them is the stories we tell ourselves about how BIG AND STRONG AND SCARY they all are. But it's all a bunch of crap, because for every "I don't have the money" excuse, there is an equivalent "I can do it without money" solution, you just have to get creative! The last time I checked, talking to people didn't cost money...

looking back in retrospect

looking back in retrospect im SO glad im not that kind of person anymore. Goodbye "getting by" and hello "getting rich"!, Thanks Dean!!

Good Post

Once again...you nailed it.

Ha Ha Brett

Brett lol, the thing about the stories is they are ALL real! Im just sharing my experience real life man. I also try to bring some sought of value to the forum. All the stories I tell have a lesson in them.

Maybe someone can get something from what I share. Thanks for inspiring me to continue to share, I sincerely appreciate that.

Thomas

I remember when I used to waste money on things I really didnt need. I used to also say I didnt have money to get started in business.

People would be surprised how much money they actually can come up with if they created a budget and stuck to it .

In my case I stopped going out to eat and slashed my entertainment considerably in order to save money to get things I needed, like education, credit repair, marketing items and incorporation.

Its ironic Ernie can afford such a car but yet cant spend a thousand dollars to kick off a good marketing campaign.

CeCe blows her Refund Check each year on Bills she is going to have anyways instead of doing something different and investing it to make a change.

However last time I tried to tell grown people what to do with their money I got cursed out lol

cbrindamour

You are absolutely correct. Without marketing efforts, no one knows about your business or that you buy houses.

So Broke Bennie

Old man said to me, "Mike I'm so Broke I can't even Pay attention", I later found out he was sitting on over $700,000 cash.

Another older gentleman, looked as if he couldn't buy much of anything, until I learned he had owned a mobile home park for over 30yrs, still lives there in a mobile home and is worth over $5 mil. No fancy flashy cars or clothes, just a down to earth really nice guy.

On the other hand, I've met 'Rich' ppl who are about a paycheck from losing everything! They have the larger homes, flashy cars/clothes, but really are in worse financial shape than the lower middle class, with little or no savings or reserves.

You NEED to have and live on a BUDGET.

The 30/30/30/10 Rule works Great
