Did I make my flyer right? Need some help from my DG family!

Hey everyone,

OK, here's the deal. At my bank, they just cleared off all of the business cards and old flyers that had been littering the community message board as you first walk in. I decided it was time to post my first flyer while I had an "open" platform. The board is red and I got a sheet of goldenrod paper to make up a flyer, so I think I've got the bold color contrast perfect. I put it up today and I'm going to go back tomorrow probably to see if it gets taken down. What I'm worried about is if I did it right, and since I have a family of thousands, I want to get feedback from all of you.

The message on my flyer was:

Are you or someone you know looking to sell your home or facing foreclosure?
If you are dealing with:
Moving
Job Loss
Job Transfer
Financial Difficulty
Personal Difficulty
I may be able to help!

I'm open to any and all critiques or criticism (FEED ME!!), especially since this is just my first try. Thanks!

Vincent,

Your flyer sounds good, but you may not want to put as much verbiage on it. You may want to try to make the font larger and thus it might be easier to read as people go by.

The goldenrod yellow is a great color choice, I know a lot of investors that use yellow with black lettering. Try a few variations of your sign in different areas of town and see which wording generates the most calls. I hope this helps. Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe

Thanks, Joe! Do you mean just make it shorter and increase the font? On the other hand, it's the only flyer on the board right now with a strong color contrast -- do you think that would be enough to get people to stop and read it?

I have almost similar contents on the letter which I sent out before christmas (30 letters) and another 30 last week. But it's a letter form like "Dear Mr. and Mrs....". I got 2 replies on my 1st 30, and yesterday I got another call from the 2nd 30 letters. I'm expecting more to come. I just pick the names at random from properties with Code Violations and mailed them out. I'm working on them now. Trying to send another batch next week. LA. Your flyer is good. Send them out NOW.

I usually like to put less on a flyer and make the font as large as possible, especially the phone number. Also, if you can create a catchy email that is easy to remember that could be another item to use on your flyer. For example a great email might be, selltoday@****.com or cashforhomes@*****.com

Flyer example, (where less is more):

I BUY HOMES
Any area, any condition

FORECLOSURE ?
JOB LOSS?
MOVING?

CALL VINCENT TODAY!
(xxx) 555-1212

Also, if your doing additional signs such as a road Bandit" sign even less verbiage would be better. Good luck. Believe and Achieve! Smiling - Joe
