Offline> 2-10-2010. Today I reviewed 8 classified ads from single family homes to mobile homes to multi-units. It is amazing how little time I have invested thus far (3 weeks), but how much knowledge I've gained. I know now the risk level, the importance of location, what the magic buttons are, etc. I have never come this far with any other program I "tried" to start. You feel me when I say, "tried"?

Its so exciting and amazing how empowered you feel as you continue to read, study, and apply what you learn! When I first started I knew nothing about real estate, and had no idea how I was going to secure my future. And then came Dean! What a gift to know that no matter what age you start - the younger the better of course 
or whether you are in a relationship or not (I dont mind saying I'm 55 & single) you can do this, take control of your own future and be excited every day to get up and learn more, make more deals, and meet and help others as well as yourself along the way! Thanks so much for your reply and motivation. I am 52 and married the second time around. Actually, I got married New Year's Eve! Anyway, back to bizness. I am really blessed to have been brought to the family, it is a dream come true. I wish though I would have gotten involved earlier in life, however I do believe things happen for a reason at certain times. So, here I am and loving every minute of it. Let's keep in touch, maybe we'll partner together on a few deals or two.

I am only 42 and single and never married. But I too wish I had done this years ago when my daughter was younger and I did borrow someone's RE program but nothing came from it. But here I am now ready to rock the world of REI. It's been inside me for so long like many on this site I'm sure. I wish you the most success with it as well. As everyone on here says small steps daily leads to that first deal.

Congratulations on getting into action with real estate. I know many people wish they would have started earlier, however the key is you started. Ray Kroc started franchising McDonald's Restaurants in his 50's and Colonel Sanders started franchising the KFC Restaurants when he was 65 years old. Thus, if you have a dream, passion and a direction anything is possible. Good luck, you can do it too! Believe and Achieve!

Isn't it crazy how much you're not certain you know until it comes down to actually looking at things....Then wow you actually know the answer yourself for your training. The Success Academy is amazing that way - they break it down and truly teach you want you need to know. In addition, the help line is great when you know the answer or are working through a deal and just need someone with experience to talk to you.
We recommend utilizing this line whenever you need a little clarification or assistance. They are great people that are happy to help!

Wow, isn't that a bizarre mind set?...but oh so true. It seems like this combined fear just traps you doesn't it?

We too, my wife and I, are about 4 weeks into the academy, and yes it is somewhat fast paced, but oh how wonderful it is to learn from others in the DG family, and what a family it is! One thing we learned so far that has proven very beneficial is to join a Real Estate Investment Club. Truthfully, we've learned as much in one night at the meeting and from this forum as we have from the academy. We are very thrilled to be a part of this wonderful journey. We only wish we could spend more time on this forum - but we need to take care of business too! Speaking of which, we haven't done any deals yet but just by word of mouth we have three interested buyers and one seller we are working with! Time to get motivated and get that first deal! Again thanks to all te DG family members who selfishly provide their experience to us newbies!
