I realized that I have 2 credit cards that will come in very handy. One from Lowe's and one from Home Depot.
Got them a few years ago, when I needed to fix up a commercial property I bought.
Both stores have a 6 months NO INTEREST on purchases over 300.00. They offered a 12months a little while ago and now I received an 18months NO INTEREST.
I wanted to share this, because that could be a nice savings, if you don't complete the sale within the 1st month. They may be easy to get, since they're very high interest. But someone starting out with not so good credit could get one to build their FICA score, while using it with NO interest. Just a thought.

And I'm certainly glad I found this in the active topics! It's actually a funny coincidence, but I used to work at Lowes as a Hardware/Tools CSA and I would be constently pushing our Lowes card to our customers, including our loyal contractors. Hmmm, I think I may just consider that, and at the same time stop by to say hi to my old co-workers and see if I can pull some records of contractors and other useful people to add to my team....kill 2 birds with one stone almost! lol

I've used points to get restaurant gift certificates, either as a treat for
myself or as gifts. Once managed to save the points long enough to get an airline ticket. AT & T is another great one for Zero percent transfer offers.
While you pay the transfer fee, it's worth it on a big amount that will take a
long time to pay off. I just did that with 20,000 and have 0% until Jan. 2013.
So now I have several cards free to use for this REI business I'm starting.
Who knows, maybe by January 2013 I can pay the card off?!!!

I use my carnival mastercard to provide O % finan img for 25 days for any dg member......pay it off in 25 days and have NO INTEREST...... PLUS I GET POINTS TO USE onboard for $$$$ off.I have used it for friends and family....and have a trip for FREE........GOT TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX! !!!

Remember that store cards are usually high interest and not the best for your credit score. It is better to use major credit cards. If you have good credit you are probably getting 0% offers left and right in this economy. I get them all the time, but am not needing them.
