Hi I would be really grateful for some getting started advice in Europe.
I am about to move to France to live [from the island of jersey - officially part of the uk but situated just off the coast of France - which is just 9 miles by 6 miles with a population of 90,000 and very high property prices]
I would like to use the strategies Dean teaches to initially wholesale properties while living in France - and wonder if it is possible for me to do this in USA from France by finding buyers and sellers through the internet - while I do the necessary research on the laws in France before I get started there.
I saw the interview with the man from Canada who I understood is doing just that - but wanted to check there would be no US legal problems doing this from France for example - and whether I would be able to get advice and support while doing it.
I have sent for Deans book - and am still waiting for it to arrive. I missed the Rock Bottom Blueprint - and the other programs it seems are not available outside the USA.
I have contacted the Success Academy to discuss the possibilities with them - but had no response there yet - so it occurred to me that someone here might have the answers I'm looking for.
Thanks so much for your help.
Anne
Hello Anne,
The best way to know for sure what is legal is to contact a Real Estate Attorney. I would contact one in both the area you want to start investing in and also locally where you are in France. This is the only true way to know what is legal and what is not.
I can tell you that I have investors who live in other countries who are on my buyers list who invest here in the United state. I know that they set up things differently but if you are looking to wholesale that might be a different story.
Be sure they specialize in Real Estate not just any type of Attorney. I hope that helps.
When you say thank you, you are telling the world that you want more. Say thank you every day! It will bring joy, and it will bring so much more.

Thanks for that advice - I will certainly do that - as long as I know it will be not just possible but realistic to get started making deals in the USA without being there - it seems from what i have read and heard that other people are setting up teams and deals in areas of the states a long way from where they are based - so I am guessing they are doing this mostly through the internet and that it would therefore be possible to do from anywhere in the world.
Keep us updated on how this goes. Could be of interest to a lot of people.
Good luck!

It sounds very challeging but possible. Besides the attorney, you might want to consult a CPA. I understand that while you are overseas, you are exempt some taxes up to some limitations, i cant remember whats the maximum income, but you might want to vrify this. With technology, internet, google voice or magicjack, you should have tools to wholesale. Good luck!

thanks for all your help.
I have been devouring Deans book and every piece of info I can find on the site over the last few days and have become more confident and more determined by the hour.
I have already started contacting real estate agents and getting some good response.
I am also looking into the possibilities of doing some deals where I am and in France when I move - so assessing the markets around me while checking out the deals in the USA and having a lot of fun. Still a bit scary - but the more action I take the more real it seems and the less scary it gets.
Also checking out the legal aspects.
Thanks again to all of you
and I will keep you updated with progress
because as you say - I'm sure there are a lot of other people in Europe asking the same questions.
