I HAVE LIVED IN THE POCONOS FOR 5 YEARS..I AM A REALTOR IN NY AND PA. I AM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR INVESTMENTS MYSELF. AND I KNOW THATA BIG PART OF BRINGING DEALS TO THE TABLE IS BY NETWORKING. I'VE GONE TO NY AND NJ FOR REI MEETINGS, WHICH HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD, AND I HAVE MET S0ME SERIOUS INVESTORS.. BUT I WOULD LOVE IF THE POCONOS COULD HAVE A REI OF THEIR OWN!!!. I THINK WE ARE IN A GREAT LOCATION DUE TO THE CLOSE PROXIMITIES TO NY, NJ AND PHILLY.. IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR AN REI HERE AND FOR THE MOST PART,PEOPLE HAVE TRIED BUT HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THRU OR STAYED COMMITTED.
SO I AM UP FOR THE CHALLENGE TO START ONE HERE IN THE POCONOS..AND I AM DEDICATING MYSELF TO IT AND INSTEAD OF ONCE A MONTH FOR NOW WE CAN DO EVERY OTHER MONTH, JUST UNTIL THINGS PICK UP.
I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN INVESTORS FOR MANY YEARS WITH ALOT OF INFO TO SHARE AND THEY ARE LOOKING TO HELP ME START THIS. HOWEVER, WE NEED TO START WITH AT LEAST 5 DEDICATED INVESTORS, WITH THAT I WILL DO MY PART.

REI IN THE POCONOS
JP I like your possitive attitude,I live in the wilkesbarre area, but when I moved to NE PA almost 20 yrs ago I moved to the Poconos (POCONO COUNTRY PLACE)from Newark NJ.I'M also a realtor for the past two years and as much as I love realestate I know just being a realtor is not going to get me were I want to go, thats why a couple of months I joined the DG family. I've read his first two books i'm in the process of reading his third book and am looking to invest in NE PA I TRULY BELIEVE the possibilities are endless up here.My son has just got his hands on Deans first book and is fired up and excited we just have to get out there and make it happen. I just recently found out that there is an rei club in the montage area thats between wilkesbarre and scranton that meet every second Tuesday of the month this may be a good place to start. I am out of area and have a lot in Saw Creek estates. I can't find a good realtor there for the life of me! I am looking to sell my lot, but I don't even have pictures of it or know much about its location. The HOA are too much for me to hold on to this lot, although I would love to be able to hold on to it. Does anyone know anything about Saw Creek Estates or of a realtor (or investor) in the area that would be interested in helping me sell this lot? A builder would probably be a buyer I'm looking for. I'm also very interested in PA. I have another lot in Treasure Lake (I'm holding on to that one.
) This might not be what this group is about but I thought I'd try here as I've had 3 realtors flake on me and one wanting $2500 upfront to sell the lot. Being in CA makes it difficult for me to market it myself. Any help would be appreciated!
