What is the difference between Assignments of Contract and Assignments of Mortgage? Are they both legal in all states?

There are plenty of threads regarding assignment of contract that you can read. Just go to 'search' box on the top left of this site, write in the topic you want to learn about, and hit enter.

Assigning a contract is legal. You cannot assign a mortgage.
