OfflineToday (11/28/09) I join the investing journal with hopes that I don’t make too much of a fool of myself. I have been interested in REI for a long time but I'm ashamed to say that I have not taken any action until this last week.
I had purchase a Short Sale course from a so-called guru only to find out that there was no support in place for the novice. Only if I was willing to pay another big bucks over the big bucks I paid for the course. Not me! That’s when I saw Dean’s info commercial early one morning and I mean early, I said to myself this guy seams sincere. What the heck, I ordered the book and I found it to be everything he said. With the help of a realtor friend of mine I found a house in a bread and butter subdivision (3br/1-3/4 bath) that the homeowner was going to loose in foreclosure. With the knowledge I got out of the course, my friends help and the motivation from Dean’s book I tied the house up(option Contract), called the bank stopped the sale (had it postponed) and now am in the process of putting the short sale pack together. I hope to submit it middle of next week and start to negotiate with the bank to buy this house.
I’m telling everyone I know about what I’m doing as Dean says in all his videos and in his book. I’ve printed up some cards of my own and I passing these out everywhere. I want everyone to know that I am starting this with absolutely no money, and no credit for I am broke, without a job and determined. But, I have one thing going for me, and that is my “P-H-D” which means I’m “Poor-Hungry & Determined” to make this work.
So I’m going to post all of my experiences here so that I can get all the criticism, suggestions and anything else that this group wants to share so that it will work for me. I realized about half way through life that in order to really succeed you need people and you have to WANT to help people. I am determined that as this journey progresses I will not only progress with it BUT I will help any and all that want to come on this journey with me and help them succeed also.
I have read 75% of the Profit from RE Right Now book and I’m going to read the Be a RE Millionaire as soon as I finish it. I am hoping that these 2 books will propel and guide me to my goals and inspire me to inspire others also. I am also hoping, that when I get my first deal done, I am going to join Dean’s “Real Estate Success Academy” I don’t know what it cost but I am going to join because I want to make changes in my life and help others to make changes in theirs. I know that this is the way to go.

i have both of deans books pfrern and i have went through the first book
like four times already and by the time i got to chapter three i went out
and i drove around town and i found five fsbo and a few for-sale-signs also
i feel like i can go out there and get those fsbo deals done

Dean talks about some common roadblocks being fear, and the paralysis of analysis. If you watch his blogs, you will soon see that his main motivation is to get people to TAKE ACTION, which you have already done, my friend. Keep taking action, at your own pace. Don't worry about mistakes- evaluate as you go and just keep going! We're all learning together! You might want to start your journal on the "Member Journals" on the right side of the home page, for consistency, and for us to find your posts and encourage you
