Boarded up houses

Boarded up houses

I've been driving around a neighborhood and noticed that there were a few boarded up houses that would be ideal for an investor...how do I go about finding out info on the property? like who currently owns it? or a contact number?

Nail it

I nail my signs to it ! The sellers at some point usually return to the scene of the crime. When they do they see my number and call. In the mean time other investors will call thinking you own the property... I just tell them to make me an offer... then when the real seller calls I know what to offer him.

Plus its good advertising.... Private Property so others cant remove it.

Good Luck

Boarded up houses

I will also check the records at the county website or the county court house. If the owners address is different than the subject property I will try to find their phone number and call them. If I can't find a phone number we send them a letter.

Driving for Dollars

We do this as well. We always have a tablet in the car and write down the address of homes that appear vacant or that are boarded up. We look them up on the county website and send them a letter. We do also look up a hone number and call.

We put our phone number and email on the letter and we sign it so it looks personalized and not like a piece of junk mail.

Good Luck
