The 2 Secrets of Real Estate (and life) Success!

I am real concerned about the body and believe in practicing preventative care of the body. My mind is open and I believe that is a key to success so that I can learn new things. One obstacle I have that I am working on is no people in my life. That is to say no one that is close with me and no social life. This is a must to change. The other day though it hit me the people I do have in my life are all millionaires or they are on their way to being millionaires. Technology makes this possible. Those people are Dean Graziosi, Dani Johnson, Joel Osteen, Zig Ziglar (recently passed away leaving lots of accessible content), Oprah, Richard Branson, Donald Trump (he is the one that made it possible for me to get to Dean, Robert Kyosaki and you Matt Larson. Jen Gray, Carol Stinson and many others in the DG family. I only have a younger brother and sister left and we live thousands of miles apart and are not close. Everyone else is gone. It seems that those who have made it have had someone in their past to teach them and give massive encouragement. Thanking God for your Dad and thank you again for your post. btw are you on track with the goals for this year and have you got a good social life going and a girlfriend? just asking and curious.

Thanks for that revealing post, Matt. Believe it or not, just a few days ago, while listening to DG's BARM (converted the PDF to Audio), the thought of what makes you tick singled out in my mind. I pictured you as an almost militant machine bent on success. As I'm in the gym often, I take energy & nutritional supplements to keep advancing. I remember laughing while thinking, I need whatever Matt's taking to get it going like he does. So, finding this post today, that you wrote today, is almost unbelievable to me. I don't post often either, though I do come here often.

Your story is something like another told by a US Supreme Court Justice (won't mention his name here), who mentioned that his Grandfather (a farmer) raised him & his brother with the notion to never let The Sun catch them in bed. To this day, he's up before the break of dawn making things happen.

I felt your pre-REI pain. Been there, still doing it. Interviewing for another couple of jobs tomorrow after being laid-off. I've been motivated for sometime now (studying for years), and tried a few moves, but haven't managed to make it happen yet. But, with your help here today, my sense of clarity has been renewed, realizing that, instead of dabbling, I need to jump in everyday & not come up short even for a day in this battle.

Hey Matt, My wife and I recently secured our first property and everything seemed to being going right as planned. We sent out complete specs to all buyers on our list and had a few of them interested. Since the initial sending out of info, 2 of the buyers said no and we haven't received any correspondence from the others..... our closing is coming up fast but still am trying to be optimistic, but after today hit we found out that we are in the red financially over $4,000 with no real money coming down the pike, and on top of all this, i am sick....Uggh! I literally said enough and went into my truck and sat there wishing that things could change but undermining myself with negative thoughts of how it won't. We have been through so much in the last 6 years..From struggling in our business since the economy took a nose dive, discovering that I have a Brain Tumor to my wife having Uterine Cancer and a operation all this year and seems like whatever we touch turns to sh_t! I lost it big time today! My wife read your post to me and even though it didn't change our current situation, it did help me realize that we will have days (and Years) like this and we have to figure out ways to break through all the funk and make lemonade out of the lemons we so often are thrown...Thank you for the wakeup call and wanna buy a great property cheap?

And for telling us how to tough it out. Reminds me of my husband's mom who never let him miss school and he was sent home once. He always went to school though, and never missed a day. I see both good and bad in this, but do believe in the being tough and working thorough the pain. We all have challenges; some more than others, but we must keep on keeping on if we want to be winners. Hope you post more often!

Thanks for the post. Your absolutely right it's all about showing up no matter what. I'm practicing what I've learned from being a realtor. Blocking time to do all the important things first. And, when I feel unmotivated or fearful; like not posting the ads or making calls. I listen to the weekly wisdom or read posts & that gets me right back on track!

*And when Life, Fear, Excuses get in the way- it's about showing up and doing it anyway!

after 8 months of joining the SA. Still no deal hearing all the negativity, the naysayers, and ignoring my Coaches telling me that all of the emails coming through my inbox were scare tactics and to not give in to them, I did.

I purchased a CD and realized that it didn't have near the information that I have access to here with the family. I haven't been on this sight for quite a while and decided that since I am paying for all this education, I very well better utilize it.

Something told me to get on this website tonight, now morning, and who do I see. Literally,, Matt, the one everyone talks about all the time. I too, quit the Success Academy at first joining and was convinced to give it a try and I did. After several more months I think that I should at least let it try to work again and not give up this time.

It's not easy when you think that you've tried it all and nothing works. Well I have four months left and I guess my Coaching is over, maybe I should have utilized all of my 1 year. Well, we'll see where these words of wisdom lead me to Matt. I have faith in you all!!

I won't give up. I'll call my Coaches tomorrow after work and let them know that I'm back in the game and that Matt told me to get back to calling everyday like I used to and give it everything that I've got! (THANKS MATT)!!

After a few months of crazy personal development... I decided to start over in the "30 days to real estate cash". I am much more experienced and much more wiser.

One thing i didn't do before was: DO EVERY SINGLE THING DEAN SAYS TO DO!!!! EVERYTHING!!!

This time, it is mandatory! this time real estate profits are going into my pocket this month!

Just like you Matt my dad taught me many valuable lessons but what i hold dearest is what he didnt teach me. He never taught me to fail so like my signature says i dont know how to fail. Ya'll are awesome here thanks for the wisdom and advice to all of those who have and are helping me in this new way of life me and the wife have adopted. Hi Matt your one of Deans students that I really do respect alot in more ways than one and we are so much a like ( I love everyone here and thats from the heart like every thing else I do)!!!!!!! Thats a great attitude and Iam so glad you made it through that day at work or we may never have been able to come a know you!!!! I love your can do attitude and I know when I get that first deal done and we have been very close Iam off at a faster speed not that I plan to so down any way, its just nice to see something for ones very hard work and Iam sure you agree to that.Thats for your comments, they are priceless!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the post and continued motivation/inspiration.

I know this principle is true. I’m afraid some people get into this business hoping to get rich quick. Well…this is not a get rich quick scheme. This is a business that requires a lot of hard work. This is for the long-term. There are no shortcuts. I always tell people that the people that succeed in real estate investing are those that are committed and stick with it. They don’t get out when the market looks bleak or when houses are a little more difficult to find. Successful investors change their strategies and adapt their techniques to the changes in the market.

Get out there and work hard!!!

These are words of wisdom that we can never stop hearing. Show up, give it all that you have - be passionate about real estate! You have to have passion and work hard to reach your dreams! Matt and Dean are so passionate about real estate and passionate about seeing everyone succeed that they give it and give us all that they have!
