Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog #137 - Road To Success

Dean Graziosi Weekly Video Blog
In this week's blog Dean shares some wisdom relating to failing as a part of the road to success. Part of this is a helpful exercise to help identify what is working for you and what isn't. Once you've finished this exercise you will have a better appreciation for the things you did that didn't work and how to focus on the things that are working.

Also, Dean hints at some big things in the works that he will be revealing in the near future. Be sure to watch for all the emails coming your way and check back at the site often so you don't miss a thing.

Awesome Blog this week Dean! Now that I think about it, I've stumbled so many times so far in this, but I've accomplished so much. I'm slowly learning the game and I am ready to do more.

Thank you for all that you do for us!

The chart is the journey and the journey is life

steinway024's picture

Dean, I like how you circled the entire chart and said, "you're going to realize, it's all success". I agree, every step we take propels us forward (even backwards is forward if we take the correct fork next time).
I've been struggling with impatience for the big success, the fast money, the reward of paying off all the debt and taking a vacation!! This is a good reminder of success being built step by step.
I also keep reminding myself of one of your sayings, "Reality is nothing more than your perception."

Experience counts

Hi Dean,

I could write a book from all the times I stumbled, got back up, stumbled again, got back up, stumbeled ....

Get the picture. I have more bruises than a novice fighter having gone 12 rounds (more likely 15 seconds) with a prize fighter.

However, I get back up--brush myself off, and start all over again and make note of what I did wrong and the lesson learned.

thanks for reminding me that they are all part of the road to success. The road is long and windy, full of ruts and pot-holes. I am determined to weave and dodge the pitfalls and eventually, I will arrive!

As always, thanks Dean. Until next week.

LJ

Thanks Dean

Great words of wisdom and encouragement. All efforts will add up to winning soon!

What does a small child do when they get spanked (yea spanked). They pout and I think we do a lot of the same. I am about to post an embarassing thing I did that caused me to pause and second guess my action. But, you are right...I did not lose anything but I learned a whole lot. And I am now suited up and am getting back into the game. Thank you Dean....it was like you knew what I was thinking??? Oooh, that is Scary! LOL

great exercise

thanks for keeping it simple dean !!!

sometimes we all need a reminder. this is a great exercise !! thanks for keeping it all so positive.
one of my favorite quotes that i heard years ago ( however, i don't remember who said it) is along these same lines.

" dare to fail greatly.... or succeed "

Focus on the Postive

It's so easy to focus on the negatives (no's) - thanks for the reminder to focus on the postive (yes's) and to keep pushing forward. As a child, none of took our first steps without falling down BUT we did pick ourselves up and tried and tried again till not only were we walking but running!

God Bless.

Thanks

thank you Dean.. this is something to think about. I know that even tho I have not done a deal because of all the no's I know that I'm getting closer to a yes. God bless you.

Amarillo.

Thanks

I needed to hear these things today. Thanks Dean. I'm excited for the surprise-can't wait!

Hi Dean

Thanks for pulling out the White Board, I love these blogs! I have a collection of quotes from Captains of Industry such as H.Ford, Carnegie, Edison, B.Franklin, ect., that I found in a book authored by Napoleon Hill, all of which, at their root, express the same point that you're making here on today's blog.
I believe that I share some of the same fears that many others do and that is; "Can I survive or bounce back from jumping off of that cliff with just the 'hope' of not failing completely and ending up homeless, with so many depending on me for survival and security?" How do I risk that? I've learned it's just a state of mind (fear) but being two paychecks from the street is a serious reality for me regardless of my state of mind. And if I ask my family to believe in me as I take that leap and fail, resulting in homelessness, how can they ever trust or believe in me again.....? My state of mind or perception may still be positive but theirs will no doubt be that of fear, frightened of all things. No longer trusting me and looking elsewhere for comfort and security untill eventually I've lost them as well. I believe I share this senario with many men in the bread winners shoes and I believe this senario to be the biggest fear of ALL for most ...if not ALL. Sure you can bombard me with logic and suitable quotes but that wouldn't get them back nor alleviate in their minds that I had initiated this through some hairbrained idea cooked up from some TV infomercial late one night. Sure I'm with you all the way Dean and if I were single I wouldn't have a care in the world - both feet & headfirst - I could live in a ditch and eat DIRT! till I became a Matt Larson.... but in reality I'm not single.... as with most there are others to consider and that's where that fear comes in. I appreciate EVERYTHING that you do my friend to keep things positive and rolling forward and as you've claimed before,"Being young and stupid when you started afforded you the luxury of tunnel vision without consequence" I am in no way presenting this senario as an excuse for my lack of success, I will succeed, I have no choice, the industrial revolution has long since passed us by.... the fear is "can I do this without losing everything first?" And that's the hesitation Dean..... in my opinion. I bring this up to perhaps shed some light on your quest for identifying that particular "fear" that holds back most. Everyone is different but I'm betting this covers most. Well, back to the fight! Talk to you soon.

We love the weekly blogs, and look forward to watching them together. This was the craziest week ever (with personal stuff) so we got to it a day late. We are always inspired, and would never let a week go by without our "booster shot."

Thanks Dean, for all you do to coach and inspire in your weekly blogs!!

ooooh yes..... that learning curve. now forward and upward. TYVM gotta get busy!

Blog 137

Well, Dean,

You've done it again! Makes a lot of sense. Failure is definitely a stepping stone to future success. Like you said, it's all success. No one likes to fail. However, if it is a stepping stone to future success, then we should embrace it and move forward. That does not mean dwell on it forever! Oh no! But accept it and move on and one day, we will start winning, and winning, and winning. We have to keep going regardless. See, last year, when I first moved to Milton, Ontario, I started job hunting. I kept applying for jobs and did not get interviews. Did I give up, no. Now, the interviews are coming so quickly I hardly have time to prepare for them. Imagine that! The next thing I know I will be getting job offers and will not know which one to accept! I have applied for approximately 200 jobs, while attending school to upgrade my computer courses and taking care of a nine year old. I am not giving up. If I had, there would be no interviews right now. For all of you who intend to, or have thought of quitting, don't quit. You never know when your ship will come in. And it will if you keep trying, even when you feel like giving up.
God bless you all.

Yes, still watching videos and still trying

Thanks Dean! Needed that reminder.

Winning!

Dean,

Great words of advice, love your Winston Churchill quote. We're still waiting for our first taste of success, but refusing to give up, because failure is not an option.

Thanks for all the motivation and encouragement, with you as our guide, we know success is just a fork in the road away.

Everybody keep the faith and have a great week.

Success & Failures

So the failure and success boards look like they
contain the same content. Its learning to turn the negatives into positives thats the issue.Perspective. Oh well back to the list for BUYERS. I will not quit 5 minutes before my miracle. My miracle being life changing and successful.
Until then I will be dilligent trying to follow direction to the tee. I am trying, doing.

Another Good Message

Djwlbrn's picture

Thanks for the lesson and reminder that you have to view everything as a journey of which the results are not always measured by the cash in your pocket. Trying anything new is always a learning process and bound to be spotted with failures (hurdles) along the way. It is the ones who will continue to pick themselves up, dust off and try, try again that will ultimately succeed.

There are lessons in everything, one just has to have the wisdom and patience to figure them out.

Good Stuff Dean!
