REIClub in or Near Baltimore, MD area

Hi Verna,
I am planning a move to Baltimore in December so I have been doing a lot of research in the meantime. There are a few REI clubs in Baltimore but one that interests me is the Baltimore Real Estate Investor's Association. http://www.baltimorereia.com

Like I said, there are others...just do a Google search for "real estate investment clubs baltimore"

I just put a request in to join your group. Live in Elkton now but grew up in the Baltimore area. I'm looking to join other groups as well and soak up all the info I can. I'm also looking for a mentor to kinda push me in the right direction. Maybe we can work this together???

Hi Rick. Welcome to the Baltimore REI Group.

I am having some technical issues with this. I do not see any indication of your request to join the group. So something must be wrong. I may have done something incorrectly when I created it because I don't see any link for people to join. Maybe as creator of the group what I see is different from what you see. Was there an actual link that you used to request to join?

I'm waiting to get some feedback from some of the top users on the site to help me out. I have not been able to connect to the support folks about it for some reason.

I wanted you to know that I am not ignoring you. I working on figuring this thing out. I can sometimes get technically challenged! LOL

Just read this post. I'm in Baltimore too and have met one other person doing DG. We should get together sometime! Richard, I have been attending the Baltimore Real Deal Meetup group for about four months. The person who leads it is one of the founding members of the Baltimore REIA and he is really good. I am going to join the Baltimore REIA as a result of this meetup group. I've been really impressed with this organization so absolutely don't think you will make a bad decision by joining.

Come join the Baltimore and surrounding areas REIs at Maryland's Baltimore REI/Group. I have been trying to locate the Baltimore REIs on this site. I know they are here. I created this group so we could share our Baltimore experiences (including the surrounding area). I'll sent you an invite.

I got your invitation to join this group via email so have joined officially. I met up with a guy from a Craigslist posting who lives here too and who is a fellow DGer. He'll be interested in joining, I'm sure.

I started everything several months by joining the Real Deal Meetup. You can find this meetup group at http://www.meetup.com/Real-Estate-Investing-The-Real-Deal/ which happens in Catonsville on the 4th Saturday of the month. The next meeting is on November 28th at 9:30am. Would be fun to get those of us who are meeting here at DG in this group to mob the meeting! At some point I'm going to join the Baltimore REIA which Richard mentions in a previous post. This is a much larger meeting with a very nominal annual fee which meets up in Towson. Charles Blair and William Fell, both very successful Baltimore investors, run the groups. Sometimes you get more information than you can handle but this is a great place to start AND do a lot of networking, which is the name of this game I'm beginning to find out. I've gotten most of my wholsaler contacts at this meetup, as well as, contractors, hard money lenders, etc. It's been a great group so far. There are over 400 members all of whom you can consider on your buyers list! Let's make this happen guys, I need that first deal to get me going strong.

I live in Alexandria, VA, about 1 hr away from Baltimore. I didn't realize that so many fellow DG members where so close by. Although I don't live in your area, I would definitely like to stay connected so we can make this a group learning experience! Where do I sign up?!
