EDGE 2013 Event

Had another fantastic day at the Edge Event. Great presentations by Matt Larson, Joe Jurek, Andrea Weule, Carol Stinson, Ali Safavi, and of course DG himself. So great to see them all live. The atmosphere is electric. Just got back from the "ladies only" gathering, where we were able to do more networking and make friends. Met some ladies from the Portland Oregon area, where I may be relocating to. So excited to hook up with them. Had a lovely dinner with my Life Coach who happened to be here with her husband. She is a sweetheart. Matt shared great info about how to recognize signs of the "Shift" in the market. Absolutely golden! Make sure to be here next year in person. You will not regret it!

Yes, it's been an Amazing couple of days. The crazy thing about the EDGE is that the knowledge is first class, the networking is dynamite, but the environment is so positive and motivating. The atmosphere is so electrifying that super hero's are made. As Ali Safavi said "Be an Ordinary Person doing Extrodinary Things!" Thank you all for sharing and stopping me to say hello. I heart you bunches and cannot wait for another year of Extrodinary things from you all!

I was not able to make it to the event in person. However, I was able to watch it online, and learned a ton! Dean, thank you to your staff for putting on a great EDGE 2013! I enjoyed every moment of it! Thanks.

Last day of EDGE event. I drove from MD to be here and it was worth the 39 hour drive. Can't wait until next years event. Meanwhile, let's kick some RE tail and apply what we learned.

Just got back from the Edge - literally just walked into my front door, and I immediately wanted to post something here. I can't tell you enough how fantastic it was. Unfortunately I had to leave during the very last 5 minutes of Chad Merrihew's presentation. What a guy! Such an engaging speaker. He reinforced what Gena Horaitis had talked about earlier, but he added some very valuable nuggets of information. Keywords: Build, Organize, and Protect! So that you can pass on to the next generation(s). Awesome. On the plane home I started to reread "30 Days to Real Estate Cash". Will be making phone calls tomorrow to add new and better RE Agent(s) to my team. Already I have my week planned. The major thing that I got out of this year's Edge Event (my first) is that I now truly, truly have a much, much better sense that I CAN DO THIS. One of the newer successful students said it exactly right. The "Edge" got him over the edge. And Gena said the following: "I measure my success yearly from "Edge" to "Edge". I suggest you all do the same. I already have my place secured for the 2014 Edge Event. Please, please make it your goal to be there next year. I promise you, it will be a new beginning for you, as it has been for me!

Glad you were able to watch online, but I am telling you there is nothing like the real live event. It seems like the electricity in the air just makes information stick better (maybe it's because I was sitting fairly close to the speakers), but all that was said just went straight into my brain, and my heart. Oh my - I don't think there was a dry eye in the house during Jenn Gray's presentation. Wasn't she amazing? I so hope for you that you can be there in person next year. Make it happen! It is truly magic! It truly was a new beginning for me!

Pat is very inspiring to hear you talk that way and it makes me feel exited of the possibility of one day been able to be part of the edge event. wish you the best and keep it up is very encouraging to hear people like you. Im new on this trying to learn as much as possible to make my first deal. hopefully soon. And everyone else out there please keep it up i love to hear your stories it gives me strength to look forward and do my best knowing this really works. I met a ton of people at the EDGE and the most beautiful thing no one has a single negative thing to say. I just got back home a little while ago spent a little time with my girls and then me and my wife who alot of you met Tina Scott after Andrea did her message to us all are trimming down our time organizing the things we should have already done and Jen Gray you are amazing we both are starting our POWER HOUR tommorrow. Carol Stinson you rocked it and Chad M. Your the man with the plan Ali you make me sick with your brilliance Gena H. well you are a VERY BIG DEAL and we all love you Indiana Joe if you only gave bad advice up there on that stage it would be ok your enthuiasm and love of what you are doing would be enough but that is not the case your advice and nuggets are awesome and what can anyone say about Matt Larson except WOW you didnt hit it out of the park with your information you knocked it into Orbit. Then there is Dean you motivate people with your sincerity and transparency I am pretty sure you are the only man I have ever met that if you told me it was gonna rain fish I would not only believe you I would run get my net telling everyone I saw along the way. Your never say die outlook and your awesome giving spirit are undeniably spiritually uplifting to a whole different level. Thanks to you all your staff and all your students and alumni who make the event the best thing happening in the world of Real Estate and in peoples lives. So glad to see your post and overview of the EDGE event! I will go every year, God willing because of the rise and excitement this event brings me. Fantastic, inspirational, kick butt presentations and all the people to surround myself with just as crazy as I am.

BTW, you know the Success Tiger's were the underdogs with our small team and we STILL killed it because we had such an AWESOME team! Everyone did their parts and we ALL made the team effort to pull through and win our precious oversized UNDERWEAR!!!

If you don't know what I'm talking about, it means you missed it! You'll have to come next year to see what the underwear comment means, but I promise you, there's nothing 'BRIEF' about it! Don't get your panties in a knot by missing it next year!

What a GREAT event and a wonderful time to recharge the RE investing battery. After We got home someone asked me, "why did you all the way to Phoenix for that event it was a live telecast." I said NETWORKING no way we could have made the amazing connections we did had we chosen to stay home and watch it online. Now I know not everyone could make it and it sold put pretty fast but plan ahead for next year and ATTEND. We got so many great connections and made some wonderful new friends.

You are right that there is no substitute for being there. The energy in that room was shear electricity. You just don't get that from watching from home. Yes you get the info, but the event is so much more than information. I'll bet everything that nobody comes back from that event and says " Geez, I could have watched it from home and got the same results!"
I'm looking forward to seeing you and everybody at EDGE 2014. I got my spot already

I'm usually the wallflower afraid to approach people. Not this year. Uhn uh! Networking is the most valuable and awesome thing about this event. Where else can you be surrounded by 250 people with the same mindset? It's one if the only places I fit in 100% and I'm thinking MAYBE there are other people there just as crazy as me. .

Well maybe not AS (except for Yves and Dominic).. But pretty darn close!!!!

PS: Pat, our team lost 2nd place by 2 points. If Matt hadn't convinced that guy to open up an envelope, we wouldn't have gotten the coveted 3rd place super large underwear. I think Matt had a plan for us all along.

PPS: I out networked my gregarious assistant this year!

Man Matt sabotaged you guys Tammy, well whatdya gonna do. We did have 14 ws it on our team w/is why we won, I remember I was grumpy during the game and when they said w/we were going to do I w/like oh man I know how to do this already, get a realtor, get buyers, sellers etc. well kind of , but i got it mid thru the game my aha moment was like "oh ok i get it i can go faster on this it doesnt have to take days to get deals, leads, realtors buyers sellers etc. funny. But hey at least you go the coveted underwear tho, and i love the Fb page, it was the best time of my life there honestly, like you said beiing w/soo many like minded people w/get w/we are doing cuz my family n friends all think I am nuts every last one of them, cant wait till I show them my first check since my 1st deal w/paid cash.
