Do you pay a fee everytime you go? How much?
Or do u pay just a one time starters fee?
Do u need to call or secure a spot, or can u just walk in?
Also, being a 1st timer, Id rather listen than talk. Is this ok?
What else usually happens at these meetings?
Just curious to know what to expect before I hit a few up in the area. Thanks.

REI meetings/clubs- our local club is free the 1st visit and $10 each after-meets once per month

I would call ahead of time just to let them know you are new to the club and I am sure they will accommodate you.
Sometimes speakers will be invited to speak on certain topics. Like lenders, realtors, title companies, investors who are using a particular strategy. All kinds of great stuff that will help you navigate your local market. Listen, but don't sit on the sidelines most of the time, make you and your services known to buyers, volunteer to help, and just make yourself part of the community. Good luck!

Some will be free, some will charge anywhere from $5 to $25 per month, or charge annual fees of anywhere from $50 to $500. You just need to make sure that there will be enough resources at that club to make it worth your while to spend your time there. Sometimes a club will have just a few people who attend, and they all have less experience than what you may have. That doesn't do you any good. Make sure there are people there who can stretch you and teach you things.
In terms of the structure, there is usually a round table where attendees can express their needs or wants. Some people have deals, some have cash available, and some have services they are providing. Then there will usually be a speaker who will talk on some subject related to real estate.
Make contact with the group, and just ask them a few questions and you will be able to make a wise decision based on what they tell you.
