who knew that facebook could be useful!

I've been talking to people in my office- it is amazing how word of mouth can work! by just mentioning to a few people what you do, you can get be referred to family members, friends, etc. Think of the possibilities!

I was told to use facebook a few months ago, but not a computer person, don't even know how to set it up. And really don't have many friends that use it.
After reading your post, I am going to find someone to show me how, that would be so great to network even further.
Another thing I suggested at my REI, was that a few us that live further away start to help each other through our deals. Not to share the deals, but to help each of us work one deal together to get that person more confidence.
I recently went to a PML workshop, bought the course and split the cost with another at the REI club, and we are going to work together on that.
So far things are falling into place because everyone liked the idea.
In todays competitive world, it makes a huge difference to form your own little groups. 3-4 months ago, I wouldn't have ever thought there would be that much change in my life.
And the webinar Dean had on credit, was really good. Got the course, and cannot believe what I found out about the way we pay our bills.
So thanks for the boost in another direction. Will try to get facebook set up today!

i used to dislike facebook for many reasons as i could see many people using it just to tell or show how they feel at every second but after thinking about only using it for positive things such as rei and HELPING others then i started using it !!!!and yes telling EVERYONE about what you do will propell you to amazing results.

Great advice guys. Huge fan of FB. I personally don't get involved in the typical FB drama of as some do/post: "going to the store", "ok back from the store".....I mean come on - who really cares! LOL I'll end up 'hiding' those, but it has been a huge networking portal. If you keep in mind that being mindful of your post and I think it's o.k. to show a bit of a personal side to show you're real, but always keep in mind your audience and it IS the internet. Once out there can never truly be recalled.

I've gotten buyers, tenant buyers, sellers, wholesale leads, pre-foreclosure leads, etc. from FB by letting others know what I'm doing.

Nobody knows what you have to offer if you never tell them!!!

Getting alot of success with LinkIn also.

Doing searchs for: Investors, Financial, Legal or Construction (geared searches) can assist in finding what you need, desire or just may be lacking in your business.

great advice and yes you are right on in saying we NEED to get it out there for EVERYONE to know what we do !!! WE are real estate investors that want to make win,win situations and we buy houses and also can help get you into your own home !!!

iI do not have a local rei club so i am in the process of starting one.I advertised on facebook and word of mouth and now i will post in the local free trader.i cannot find one in my area for about 100 miles so i must start one .NETWORKING is key to this business sooooooooo i must take action .What are you doing to network like crazyyyyyy ?????

You are in the same boat I am in. The nearest one is 70 miles from me. plus they meet on thursday at 12pm. Like seriously some of us have jobs and cant meet at 12pm, so I am going to take your advice and use those other networking tools!

It pays to network in every way possible.tell EVERYONE what u r doing!!! Congrats on mort school and don't give up onyour rei dream.keep focused on making it happen .good luck everette.
