OfflineI am sorry that most of you didn't see the short little movies that I placed on here. They got deleted. They were movies that showed how tough it is to be a real estate agent because of unrealistic demands of sellers and lack of knowledge from buyers.
I placed these movies on here to show that real estate agents have problems too. I did it to balance my personal viewpoint that I have with real estate agents. I didn't create the movies, I merely found them and posted them for instructional purposes.
However, the powers to be, deleted them. I gave a warning about each movie having bad language so people that are offended by this stuff wouldn't click on it. There was no requirement that you click on it. It is a freedom of choice. Furthermore, there was no bad language used on the DG.com website. So I have to conclude that wasn't it.
I didn't include my website address in my signature line, I didn't include my phone number or email address in the post, I wasn't trying to sell the readers anything, I wasn't talking trash about success academy or the coaches, PMI or anything regarding Dean (who by the way I think is a truly sincere guy). So I have to conclude this wasn't it either.
In fact, I try to make sure that every post I make is a post that attempts to add value to the readership using my experience so that you don't have to go through some of dumb stuff I had to at an earlier age.
Therefore, I have to assume that they didn't want anybody to see, through humor, that real estate agents can have a tough time working with buyers and sellers. It might have given you an insight why some real estate agents don't want to work with investors if you have unrealistic expectations.
In an attempt to be fair and balanced, this is their sandbox and they can do what they want to do. But there was nothing in this post that was against Dean, his programs, his inner circle or anything else; and it met all the criteria of following his guidelines that I could find.
So the bad news is that they indiscriminately censor posts by applying arbitrary rules but the good news is that I learned that they don't want me to balance my viewpoint and say anything positive about real estate agents.
As you might have gathered, I am a big believer in the Constitution of the United States. In fact, many ex-military people here also know that they were sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution as well. Censorship starts with good intentions but it always ends up going too far. Always. Once started. it makes you wonder what other information they may be hiding from you. If you're here to learn, should different viewpoints be seen. Guidelines are acceptable, but not applying them on a consistent basis to everybody isn't right either.
One of the websites forum rules state: "You are required to act in a mature and professional manner on this site. No exceptions." Shouldn't that include their side too?
PM me, email me or leave a comment here and tell me if I am right or wrong. If the consensus of the respondents feel I was wrong, I'd like to know. It is just so hard to understand what the parameters are in trying to help. Thanks.

I KNOW you were right! I'll be the first to say here that I appreciate ALL that you do here for everyone and knowledge and experiences you're able to bring so we can learn from them and make better decisions about the path we have chosen.
So again I thank you for all that you do for us, because I for one have seen how busy you are with your own business and know that you still make time to come on here and give us very valuable information!

This is exactly why I do not post on here much anymore. Who would have thought welcoming people to a site would be censored?
I don't get it.
I think Dean is an amazing guy, but I don't think he is personally aware to what extent the censorship is going.

I totally agree and sorry that I did not get to see the movies that you posted. I'm sure they were educational, as it's obvious to all of us that follow ANYTHING you post; it is ALWAYS done with our best interest at heart!
The way I see it is this. If we are to eventually become successful REIs, we must obtain ALL the knowledge that we can. Seeing things from the other side (RE agent's eyes) could do nothing but help to bridge the gap that at times seems to be FAR too wide. How can we be successful without them?? There's just no way. This is drilled into our heads in everything that Dean teaches. They're the first member of our Power Team (was for me), and we seem to ask the world of them at times.
I also, agree with you and Karen in that Dean is truly sincere and cares. That it what attracts the majority of us to this site, programs, and all other things he represents.
Like Chase, I honestly value your input, respect your opinion and am ever so grateful that you take the time to try and show us the way. Your sincerity is without question and appreciated beyond any doubt. I would be extremely surprised to find anyone on this site to disagree.

you completely, Randy had a post about something minor that was removed as did a few other people. This is a great site but could be destroyed with over cencorship. I bookmarked them but didn't have a chance to look at them that's too bad. I'm with you 100% Bill.

This is one of the reasons I don't post here as often anymore as well. The censorship is great. I had a really long REI related post in my journal deleted. It was a summary of some of the things I have been doing the past 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. Why? I used the word |)ickens with a regular d, and I mentioned how crazy it is we were expecting snow in LA at the very end of my long post. I had updated my post after the |)ickens was checked to add a space with a comment about how the word got sensored because of the first part of the word.
I respect Dean and he is always so sincere and down to earth. I do doubt sometimes he knows some of the stuff going on here at his site because he is so busy. Even Dean likes to have some fun every now and then. Remember Edan Sargiozi? Hmm? But, I digress. (A phrase that both Edan and Dean love to use, (and even a transilvanian)
