International Real Estate

I have a couple of suggestions for you. There are two organizations that I am aware of here in the states that deal with foreign businesses. One is the Hong Kong Association and the other is the International Trade Bureau Association. HKA and ITAB. There are meetings in Carlsbad CA and if you’re close enough to attend I can send you information about the location and time. Or you can look them up on the web I believe. Also look up World Trade Centers. There are many throughout the US. You could also look up Embassies that are USA stationed. I wonder if there are international Craig's Lists. If not, I'm sure there are something like them. You might ask that of anyone you contact.

Another option that I used when I was looking at properties out of state and wanted a contractor I could trust is to contact the church of your choice. The Church of Latter Day Saints, Jehovah's Witnesses, and I am sure many more main stream organizations are in all countries. I'm sure that they have members in all types of businesses that would be beneficial to your overseas RE business and you get the added benefit that they have a higher (not perfect) chance of being honorable.

thanks for the info, I'll look into it. I'm in Las Vegas so California isn't too far off. I'll have to look around and see if I can network. Good thing is, my fiance is Japanese so I may have a foothold for Japan to expand upon. Thanks again, I'll look into it. My goal is to take Real Estate on a global level, a bit ambitious since I've yet to make my first deal, but hey we all need something to shoot for.
