Still haven't flipped your first real estate deal?

I remember I watched this video a year and 1/2 ago or so and it almost took me out the real estate game because I was thinking "oh my god! No wonder I haven't flipped my first deal! The too big to fail banks are now too big to compete with."
I like Preston Ely and his attitude about life but him saying the culprit is Wall Street is a bunch of BS.
Donald Trump doesn't even have enough money or time to saturate an entire market and take all the deals. What I realized when I got my first deal is you have to find a niche or marketing strategy that no ones doing and stick with it. NO ONE is doing bandit signs in my area except me and that gives me tons of leverage against the "competition". He had a point but it's not a very good one. Wall Street or anyone like that does not know how to do what Dean or Matt or anyone in this field knows how to do. They only know how to go to the MLS and that's it.

Adam, I like the way you think. Finding your own niche sounds like a winner, less or even no competition!

I put out 25 bandit signs last weekend as usual! You are the only other investor in the area that puts them out consistently! There are a couple of new guys as always but they will stop in a month or two. How many times have we seen that happen!

Adam, we have talked many times, you have come to my meetings so I know that you have the determination and persistence to make yourself a nice REI business. We also know that everyone is trying to sell their product and saying that without their product you are doomed. They prey on people that do not work hard like we do and are hoping for some "magic bullet"

We know that what Dean teaches is what really works. No need for any other products or programs that "with the click of a mouse" they do the work for you and so on.

By the way, 99% of unlisted motivated sellers don't know anything about Wall Street. Like you said, I too saw Preston's stuff several years ago. The reason people don't do deals is they listen to stuff like this instead of putting together the systems they need in their chosen market and then take REAL action. Constructive stuff and not just "busy work"
