Dean Graziosi Weekly Wisdom #194 - What's Cool About You?

Kool thing bout me is i am a go getter and as far as REAL ESTATE i am all in thanks DEAN for everything you have shared with me.Still working on rehab cann't wait to see the profits or i might rented don't know yet.since the EDGE EVENT i have came a long way from where i started and ready for the next level of investing thanks everbody.

I over came my fear of heights and jumped out of a perfectly good airplane all by myself SIX times!

I have dreams. I can play a MEAN guitar. I have learned that greatfull is really the first step in a better tomorrow. Im blessed to have the chance to see another sun rise. I know that no matter the pains or strugles of my past, I have a reason today to smile. I am a respected tattoo artist even though i choose not to make money selling hours of it. I know what I want. I know how to get there. I know where I come from. Im from Albuquerque New Mexico. Thank you Dean you inspire what once had little hope.

I would say that what's cool about me is my uniqueness. Honestly, no one else is EXACTLY like me, or even comes close! People can do what I do, but not as I do it; only I can do that! Call me a snowflake, because no 2 are quite the same-yeah, that's me! I'm sure that's what brought me into Real Estate Investing, & how Dean (Graziosi) was my introduction to it!

after all these years and all the delays , i am still determined to have success in real estate investing!

I am making it on my own. I am a divorced lady who lost her job 2 years ago because of health problems, but with REI through your teaching, I am making a comeback. I only have 2 deals under my belt, but there are plenty more to come.... and I loooove doing it!!!

The coolest thing about me is that I made the decision a year and a half ago to become a Professional Real Estate Investor and I did it!! I just closed my 7th deal last Friday and now my friends and family are starting to think maybe I can do this. LOL!!

The second coolest thing about me is that I started teaching gymnastics at age 12 making $3.25 an hour and I am still teaching and changing kids lives everyday!!

Well, I have not done much in the way of Real Estate. Many reasons, a lot of which start with not having $$. Working on my licenses so I could have extra $$ to start something. Anyway, you asked us to say what's cool about us. A couple years ago, I could not even remember how to send e-mail messages. I had not used a computer in so long! Now, I got my Basic, Intermediate, and half of my Advanced Computer courses done. It will take me about three or four months to complete the Advanced. I also got my Z license. That is the air brake license. Buses and Tractor Trailers have air brakes. I also lost 40 pounds and I started working out since January this year. Lots of clothing that could not fit before, can now fit. There is also someone whom I am interested in. That person is at church. He watches me a lot and I can feel he is interested in me too, but he is too scared to ask. Every time he says hi to me, I say hi and I choke. I have attempted to let him know how I feel, but it is so hard! I have accomplished so much in my entire life, why is it so hard? This person makes me feel things I have not felt since I was 19 years old. I want to tell him how awesome I think he is. I will attempt to do so on Sunday. Don't know how that will go. There was a time he did not even used to notice me. Now, he says hi to me and looks at me a lot. Sometimes he makes me feel uncomfortable. I make him uncomfortable too! One time in church, I was sitting way close to the front. He could not look at me. He looked up to the ceiling because he was on the altar, about to give holy communion. He either hates me or likes me. I feel that he is interested in me but just shy, but I could be wrong. And I believe he is available too! Well, his wife died about seven and a half months ago. My husband died a year and three months ago. Maybe he already has someone in his life. He comes to church alone. I know he has no kids because when the fathers were asked to stand up on Father's day, he did not. I spoke to him at a church function once, and I found out he has a four-year-old dog. I and my son love dogs. He evades me at times, and at other times, he comes around me. It could all be in my head, but I think that I am right about the fact that he likes me. I do not know how much, though. I had closed my heart off for many years. This guy opened it up. I have to try not to think of him too much, because there was a time I could not sleep when I thought of him and it got to a point where my high blood pressure was up, even though I was working out, and losing weight. I was a mess. So I had to curb my anxiety. I have prayed about the issue. Well, I used to be very shy, too. At least, I talked to him twice.

I must say you were the first to inspire me to lose weight when you talked about neglecting your workout. Then someone else did, too.

About being a special ed kid. I do not think it is because you were not intelligent. I think you were a special ed kid because of all what you had to deal with as a kid. Thank God all that is behind you now. And it made you a better parent too! I am so happy I became the 'maid' of my family. It made me a much better and efficient person.

Everytime something is going on in my life, there's Dean addressing it. It's beginning to spook me a little. Tomorrow I have my Academy Class scheduled and with opening a new cafe, running a music store & school, drowning in paperwork, and going to CT Scans for my cancer diagnosis, I'm sitting here ready to pull out my hair because of all the homework that I didn't finish yet. So I log on & saw Dean's email and he's saying not to compare myself with Matt or anyone else that has achieved all these properties, but look how far I've come and you know Dean's right! Just when I was feeling like a total failure on everything I didn't get to do yet, here he is. You're so right, Dean. We have a list of buyers, a list of sellers, got in touch with a real estate agent that actually wants to work with us and is emailing us a list of properties with our criteria. I know our coach, Eric, will be happy with that (he's so encouraging!). All of which we did not have 8 weeks ago! We have come a long way! And with your "pep Talk" I feel that we will close on a property real soon. Thanks so much, Dean, for being so inspirational and in touch! You Rock!
Ooops..almost forgot. What's cool about me? My husband says "everything" but I think he's a bit biased. I make people's dreams to make music a reality. I have a big heart and a huge giver. I'm a musician.

Okey Dean, message received. Looking back to where I started and yes I’ve accvomplished so much. My weeks/months are filled with excitement. I went from barely understanding REI with some knowledge to amassing a wealth of knowledege and direction. What’s cool about me? I’m not so stressed out about life’s “challenges” any more. I’m working on an unbelievable story. I’m only on my 1st paragraph.

What is Cool about me! I have recently taken a class that i never would have thought of taking before. I took a class on Residental property inspections with my husband. I am a very shy person and never would have done this if it werent for DG. Thanks Dean

This is the most direct way I have to communicate with you since you read every post.
I look forward to every Sunday and the new Weekly Wisdom. Its always good and sometimes has more content and I love that. As a result I will often replay it several times to make sure I did not miss anything. I will often ponder parts of it for a greater understanding too. Then I always look for the weekly e-mail and if I don't click on the link that takes me to the video I get a 2nd e-mail telling me I missed it. No problem.

I just want to say I feel it is impossible for me to compare myself to this little Italian man that I think so much of or even his number one top student Matt. I do have to face reality though. My own achievements and accomplishments are my own success. I get that. It is highly unlikely that I could ever reach the status that you and Matt have achieved. I think it is phenomenal. On top of that I don't know if I could handle that kind of success as it takes a lot of energy that I do not have. Even so, I am striving to be a better person and a successful business woman. It is said that the sky is the limit, so in my earlier comment to this weeks weekly wisdom I stated that you and Matt have gone beyond the ozone layer and still going. Maybe the sky isn't the limit. It's exciting to see just how far you can go. I also realize that is your lot in life and not mine.

I am very grateful for your weekly wisdoms as they always cause me to look deeper inside myself to learn and grow. I thank you for that.

You're right, it's not easy to come up with but I guess a few are...
1) I'm a dependable worker.
2) I do not allow circumstances to bother me.
3) I give all that I have to help others.
4) I am goal-oriented.

Where do I start. Every week you continously reach out to all of us with you wisdom and your amazing energy. You change lives every day. God bless you for who you are.

As for me, time to sit and think about that one. I guess one thing and like you, I came from Europe and have had the privledge to travel quite a bit over the years, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Jamaica, Canada and all over the U.S. and the great thing is I am still young and have many more years and more places to go!!

Two things that are cool about me- I love to encourage others and I am so happy that after 11 years I completed my Bachelor of Science Degree and then went on to complete my Masters in Business Administration at the same time my daughter graduated from high school. She too has completed her Bachelor's degree and has her teaching credentials.

Your right Dean, it's funny because it took me a week to really think about what's cool about me and it was hard. so after along hard look at myself this is what I came up with. I never give up no matter how hard life is.

On the real estate side:
I have build my buyers list, I've found some agents to work with, I learned a lot about the market while taking action, and I am submitting offers every week. but to make a long story short I am still working hard to get my first deal.

On the personal side:
I am a full time college student studying to become a electronic engineer. school takes a lot of my time, and is not easy to go through, but I manage to maintain an 3.5 GPA. It still does not pay the bills thou.

The fact is my life is at it's worst right now.
I don't have an income, my debt is on over drive, and I have come across too many road blocks. I am truly living the great depression.

but I am still here working harder then ever before. although I never catch a break,I believe that I can do this.

There is something big that's deep down inside of me and it won't allow me to give up. It's a burning desire to become very successful. It feeds my desire to achieve, it feeds my determination,my ambition, and give me the will to act. It my motivation to help my family. I need this to work and they need this to work. Even when life gets so hard most of the time, I will never give up on my goals. I believe that's what makes me cool.

I'll end it with this quote:
“The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.”

What's cool about me is that I have a really great positive personality. I love life, I love learning and I love experiencing new things.

Despite the many trials and tribulations I have battled through these last several years, I have thankfully not allowed them to taint or embitter my positive outlook on life or discourage me from expecting good things happening to me.

Thank you Dean for sharing the wealth of your knowledge in real estate investing. I am grateful to be associated with such a positive, enpowering organization that helps people accomplish their dreams!

This one took almost a week to figure out so Thanks Dean for making me think

Throughout my life I have gone through stages of humility and bolstering about myself. Unfortunately,for this blog, or fortunately (?) I am in a humility stage at the moment so it's hard for me to say " I am cool because..." so I put out the question to other people to see what other people thought was cool about me. Some of the answers surprised me as they were not what I had expected from those individuals.
The most frequent response was that I put others before myself. This was followed by my willingness to help whenever I could. Then came the "regular" responses like " I am nice" and "I am fun to be around" and "I am a good teacher" and "I am knowledgeable about so many things of the natural world."
I followed this up with some introspection and could add things like what I have achieved and sacrificed to reach this point in my life and how I view the world.

I think I can sum it all up by saying "The coolest thing about me is that I am an individual who is unique and I am just fine with that."

Despite my family's very limited resources, I duplicated Frederick Douglas, Abraham Lincoln, and Booker T. Washington; I pulled myself up by my own bootstraps:

1. I earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Business Administration, major accounting, paid for all classes myself.
2. I earned a MBA in International Finance, paid for all classes myself.
3. I passed the CPA exam in the State of WA., lots of hard studying.
4. I completed four years in the United States Navy, sat off the coast of Iran in the Iran Contra Affair.
5. I have 5 wonderful nieces and 3 wonderful nephews, I devote time, money, and energy to help each one fully develop into a positive person.
6. I invested money and joined Dean's Real Estate Success Academy, and attended one of Dean's Advanced Insider's Financial Training programs. I ignored the naysayers.
7. I will not procrastinate; I will accomplish my financial independence goals.
8. I will build a one year cash cushion equivalent to one years' worth of earned income.
9. I will match each month of earned income with an equal amount of passive income from Real Estate.
10. I will shore up my retirement fund with 3 to 10 properties, valued at least 125K each.

"FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION"
